1. Introduction
CLARO Energy Limited ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of all users of the Claro One mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
Claro One is an internal operational utility designed for Claro Energy's internal installation partners, field engineers, and administrators. The application is used to navigate, log, and verify solar panel installations at customer locations as part of government-sanctioned renewable energy programs.
Customer installation details processed through this application are provided by government electricity distribution companies (DISCOMs) for the authorized execution of government solar energy schemes. By using Claro One, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Hardware & System Permissions Collected
To deliver its core functionality, Claro One requires access to the following device permissions. Each permission is collected strictly for operational purposes as described below:
Precise Location (Foreground & Background)
- Foreground Location: Collected to provide real-time navigation to solar panel installation sites and to verify the physical location of installations on-site.
- Background Location: Used solely for audit logs of active installations during working hours, ensuring accurate validation of physical work execution for government compliance reporting.
Camera
- Used to capture on-site photographs of completed solar panel setups and structural installations for documentation and verification purposes.
- Used to scan component barcodes for inventory tracking and quality assurance.
Files, Media & Storage Access
- Used to upload installation certificates, site inspection reports, and structural assessment documents required for official DISCOM submissions.
- Used to locally store downloaded job assignments and reference materials for offline field use.
Network State & Notifications
- Network state access is used to synchronize installation data with Claro Energy's central servers and ensure data integrity during uploads.
- Push notifications are used to dispatch real-time job alerts, task assignments, and status updates to field teams.
3. Authentication & Account Management
Authentication
Users authenticate exclusively via corporate Google Accounts (Google Single Sign-On) provided or authorized by Claro Energy. No personal Google accounts or third-party authentication methods are supported.
Account Provisioning
Because Claro One is an enterprise-managed operational application, user accounts are centrally provisioned and managed by Claro Energy's IT administration. Users cannot create or self-delete accounts directly through the application.
Account Deactivation & Data Erasure
If your employment or partnership with Claro Energy ends, you may request account deactivation and deletion of your personal data by contacting us at care@claroenergy.in. Upon receiving and verifying your request, we will deactivate your account and delete your personal data within 30 business days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., government audit compliance).
4. Data Security & Storage
- All data transmitted between the Claro One application and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard HTTPS/TLS protocols.
- Data at rest is stored on secure, access-controlled servers with regular security assessments and monitoring.
- We do not sell, lease, or share any user data with third-party advertising networks.
- Installation and project data is shared only with authorized government DISCOMs as part of the official project validation and compliance process mandated under the respective government solar energy schemes.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal and operational data for as long as necessary to:
- Provide our services and fulfill contractual obligations.
- Comply with legal obligations, including government audit and regulatory requirements for solar installation projects.
- Resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
Installation records, site photographs, and verification data may be retained for the duration required by applicable government regulations, even after a user's account is deactivated. Upon termination of employment or partnership, you may request deletion of your personal data as described in Section 3.
6. Your Rights
Under applicable Indian data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Access and review your personal information held by us.

We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy on this page and revising the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Your continued use of Claro One after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
